Angelicas Bakery

"In 1990 when a single mom in Chicago's South Suburbs lost her job, she needed a way to support her family and started baking cakes. From that grew Angelica's Bakery, with two Chicago locations, this place is world-famous for its caramel cake, and baked treats supplied to restaurants all over the city."

This is the story that inspired ANGELICA'S BAKERY project, a romantic comedy about the life and times of "Miss Bobbie" and her deliciously famous caramel cake. This true story references this single African American mother of 4, whose many years of struggle and hard works finally paid off, enabling her to own and operate one the most successful bakeries in Chicago, and nationally awarded and recognized.
